Wow, what a week!

Well, its been 3 days since the national re-tune, and I’m pooped! We must have taken over 300 phone calls from worried customers and local residents alike. We had hundreds of people come into the shop to collect a free copy of our re-tune instructions, and only had to do 3 home visits out of over 2000 customers.
The reaction from the public has been so heartwarming. I’ve talked 90 year old ladies through the re-tune over the phone, and they’ve been stunned at how simple it has been. No surprise that the government and the Freeview people managed to confuse and worry people unnecessarily.
It’s been great fun helping people through this, and bar one lady who was “disgusted” that we hadn’t phoned her to tell her about the re-tune, and was “dissapointed” that her new Tv had gone “wrong” after 3 months, the feedback we have received has been a joy to behold.
The “thank you” count currently stands at
1 x box roses
1 x bottle of wine
£20 and a lovely card
one box of Thorntons “moments”
and lots and lots of thank you’s
This re-tune has been hard work, but an absolute pleasure, knowing how worried people were and you can’t put a price on piece of mind.
Won’t be long till the next one either.
