I admit it,  it’s been a while since I updated this Blog.  The trouble ,  in these difficult times, is finding time to do the little things.  The Shop is doing well,  despite the downturn, and we have adapted in order to survive.  The downside to this is I have been helping out on the delivery side of things,  meaning I’ve not been in the shop as much as I once was.  Even so, the girls are always in the shop and are extremely well versed on the many foibles of Kitchen appliances and the Digital switchover.

Speaking of which,  despite the recession and subsequent downturn, the switchover is driving Television sales nicely,  which should help what is going to be a difficult (warm) winter.

In preparation for the switchover we have taken on a real nice “core” range of TV’s. All with 5 year Warranties and starting from £199 delivered. We have also got a great selection of Digital recorders, all from tried and tested brands and none of the cheap junk the big stores are selling.  Humax twin Tuner PVR’s start from £149.99 delivered and we have some lovely Panasonic High Definition recorders in store too.

Speaking of High Definition,  it’s worth popping in to see some of the current Panasonic range on Freeview HD. With Christmas coming,  there’s no better way to watch the Feature films and Christmas specials that the BBC and ITV will be showing.  Not to mention FA cup football and the Olympics next year!

Besides TV’s,  we have a number of new items in the store which are new to the Market.  We have the new Dyson HOT fan heater in stock.  An impressive bit of tech from Dyson.  He has basically adapted one of his ultra safe fans, incorporated Ceramic technology (like you find in hair straighteners) and come up with a highly efficient, safe fan heater.  It’s not cheap,  but it’s still very very good.

We’ve also had in Panasonic’s new lightweight, upright vacuum.  Finished in Purple and one of the lightest uprights on the market,  Panasonic are entering a market that is in huge need of new blood.  Priced at £200 its cheaper and lighter than it’s Rivals,  a great prospect.

Gearing up for Christmas,  we’d got a nice selection of LED Tree lights.  Suitable for indoor and outdoor use,  in a variety of colours and static or multi-function.  Long lasting,  ultra-bright and no replacement bulbs.  finally Christmas lights are getting easy to sell.  lol

As always,  we have a wide selection of Stellar and Judge Cookware.  We are taking orders for Christmas,  so if you need Roasting Trays, Knife sets or a coffee decanter (for the morning after) we can get them in for you.

And Finally,  thanks to the stupid LEZ (low emission zone) rules brought in by the Mayor of London,  we have been forced, mid-recession, to buy a new company Van.  So,  Keep your eyes out for our new BLUE JJ’s van.
