Hi Mook I’m looking for a stylish looking tall upright fridge to put in my front room. New baby just came along and need more space. My decor is quite modern with lots of dark wood and oak so I dont want anything thats gonna stand out. I was thinking either a drinks fridge or maybe something in black or silver? Not too tall either (about 5′ ?) Any suggestions? Cheers
Hi. Congratulations on the new addition. Before I get too stuck in here, I need to know, is this fridge solely for the purpose of storing drinks, or will it be used for food also? Perhaps you can answer in the comments section below and I will update the main post once I have that information. Also, do you have any restrictions on width?
Look forward to your reply

Hi Mook,
The gap is 67cm wide.
The fridge will mainly be used for storing drinks, although we may occasionally put food in there when the small fridge in our kitchen is full up. Although food won’t be stored in there for more than a day or so before being moved back to the kitchen!

Hmm. Ok, let me do some research. It does tend to be the case that large “drinks fridges” are in fact wine coolers. These units generally only have racks for bottles, and expensive charcoal filters and anti-vibration motors. I imagine, if you are wetting the babies head you’ll be wanting to store cans of Drink. I know Bosch do a nice big wine cooler but it’s mega bucks, and there are commercial chillers available too but again not cheap. Leave it with me till monday and i’ll have some exciting options for you.
