Dear Mook, I bought a speaker from menkind and have had for less than a year, it has suddenly stopped working. I have taken a look at the wires and have found that none of them are loose or damaged. what do you suggest I do? Andrew here is web link: http://www.menkind.co.uk/Productdetailsgeneral.asp?ProductID=493

Hi Andrew.

Tricky one this.  The problem is probably down to the actual quality of the product.  Looking at that link, it looks like a fairly generic Chinese manufactured item.  Typically looking pretty cool,  but maybe not put together using the best quality components.

The most important thing here though,  is the fact you have owned it less than a year.  The sales of goods act dictates that Menkind must repair or replace anytime in the first 12 months if the product is faulty.  My suggestion,  in this instance,  would be to contact Menkind and arrange to have it returned to them for repair/credit/replacement

Had it been outside of the year,  aside opening it up and checking for loose wires,  i’d have said it was probably not worth repairing.

Hope that helps

Mook
