Can you recommend a cylinder bagless vacuum cleaner for occasional use in a caravan.
Hi, Thanks for the question.
This is a really tough one to answer, becasue the simple answer is “NO”
The trouble is, Dyson is so good at researching bagless technology, that he patents anything that is effective, and lets the competition keep what he rejects.
So, the best cylinder machine would be a Dyson. But it’s not worth paying over £200 for that caravan environment.
So, alternatives. You should consider the GTECH sweeper we reviewed HERE. Its compact, rechargable and effective on flat carpets and for light use. ideal for a caravan.
Otherwise you’ll have to go for a Bagged Machine. The best advice here is go for known brand machine. Not some imported junk like pro-action or Vax, but a decent brand such as Panasonic or Electrolux. This will ensure readily available paper bags. Also, becasue it’s occasional use, the bags will take forever to fill up so that cost wont be an issue.
If you choose to go down this road, we stock a great little cylinder from Electrolux called the powerlite. It’s 1800w, comes with all the usual tools and is nice and small. Bags are readily available from all good electrical shops. It sells for £44.99
We also keep a little Daewoo machine, for £29.99, but I would suggest bags will be harder to find from stores other than us. An issue if the caravan is some way away.
I hope that Helps
